On October 8th, 2009, Diva Q made another appearance on Canada AM, to demonstrate how to cook a BBQ (smoked) Turkey and a complete Thanksgiving meal using a pellet smoker/grill, a charcoal grill and a gas grill.

On September 15th, 2009, Ron Eade, the Food Editor from The Ottawa Citizen wrote on his “Ominivore’s Ottawa” Blog about Diva Q’s latest accomplishment, winning the overall Grand Championship as well as the Anything Butt (Chef's Choice) categories at the Canadian Southern Barbecue Competition in St. Thomas, Ont.

The win entitles the team to compete in the prestigious American Royal competition in Kansas City in 2010, the world's largest, involving 500 competing teams.
